Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to farm the snowmen's lair with a perma sf sin. Is there anything in that dungeon that can go through SF, ike turret-type structures etc? Thank you =)

Yes, there are many ice turrets/shoots and two avalanches in that dungeon. You could farm only the first two groups without running into any. You would have to bring a lot of healing, especially for the part where you get the dungeon key.

Just go perma and bring 3 ele heroes and the two ele henchies along with Mhenlo and a random damage henchie and you go perma SF tank..no real reason to solo the dungeon.

@Zapper: Ahh, so if my goal is to just zone in, kill the first 2 groups for the loots and deld points and zone back out, I should be ok right? I am thinking that this may be a good way to farm without much brain power required hehe.

@wind: Well, I wasn't really thinking of completing the dungeon, although it would have been a great bonus if it was doable (painlessly doable) haha =)

Ah,sorry i didnt realize that,though it is prety painless to tank and let fire rain down on little useless snowmen,eh?

Haha yes it is. Going to go check out that dungeon tonight, see if the dungeon is soloable in HM.

I guess you could do that, but it would be agonizingly slow :-(

@Jonas: But it wouldn't it still be faster to do it that way rather than running through the whole dungeon with H/H? Since you just go in, kill, zone out, zone in, and kill again? Well, I haven't really done it before so I will find out tonight =)

Say you get 50 points per run (in HM) and a run takes 2 minutes, including zoning and everything. You can do 30 runs an hour, for 30x50=1500 points per hour. You can make that in one run, which will take 12-15 minutes. I don't really think it's a good idea. Unless of course you're going for gold/tome drops, in which case go ahead.

yes an a/e can solo the entire dungeon taking care to watch out for mainly the darts, but the problem is that the dwarf will get killed consistantly by the darts and snomen in the last stretch of the dungeon just before boss (most usually skip them cause they don't move much and u take alot of dam from the darts if u stay to long in that area). So this means that u cannot get the doors open cause he died.

I don't remember the build but i believe that its the same one used for killing the 1st 2 grps with the exception of a anti knockdown i think.

Imo it not worth the time to solo when u can do it 10x faster with an ele grp of heros.

I probably won't solo the dungeon, but if Zapper's calculations are close to accurate, then 1500pts + loots every 30min aint so bad =)

Eh, if you want points, do the complete dungeon. Point multipliers from bosses, rampages, and increases in your rank, plus the added killing speed of an 8 man team >>> soloing the first two groups.

If I can kill just about everything, including freezie, with a Me/a, then you certainly should be able to do it with an A/e. The only group I can't kill is the one around the very last set of dart turrets before Freezie. Everyone else can be killed easily in HM. You don't need any heals, just don't step on geysers and run like hell through darts.

Note: That last group seems to always kill koris, so I never "finish" the dungeon, but by that point I generally don't have room in my inventory for a wintersday item...

Tried last night, and here are my conclusions:

1. Not worth it to farm the snowmen for loots; lots of more profitable alternatives for an assassin =)

2. Farming the first 2 waves of snowmen took me about 2-3min (loading, positioning, zoning out). So its more or less better to run the whole dungeon with H/H for the points =)

Too bad eh? I was hoping for a brainless, deldrimor point grind haha.

For anyone who farms Snowmen for "rep points" it doesn't make sense to solo it. It's ridiculously slow. Farming wise...there are better places but do what you like.
